Preview snapshots: Nendoroid Takamura Yui

Here’s Takamura Yui from the anime series Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, a branch story from âge’s adult visual novel Muv-Luv Alternative.

Nendoroid Takamura Yui

Nendoroid Takamura Yui comes in her Tactical Surface Fighter (TSF) outfit. The above snapshot shows her with the bloodied-face expression as she battles an oncoming BETA. Speaking of which, here’s a closer look at the critter:

I’m pretty sure that I would not be the first, nor the last, to think that this BETA model actually looks cute! That aside, this BETA critter that comes along with Takamura Yui is possibly the smallest soldier-class variant, a.k.a the ‘Venator’. Throughout the Muv-Luv series, there has been a great variety of alien scum to contend with, just go check out the BETA sub-section of the Muv-Luv wiki to get a sense of how the other critters look like.

Alien companion aside, the other option parts include Yui’s pot of stew, as well as her katana. The 2 snapshots above also show the remaining of her other expressions too. Since Good Smile Company has gone ahead with releasing Yui, it wouldn’t be surprising if they follow up with her friend/love-rival, Kryska Bjachenova. Then again, Kryska is just one half of the Scarlet Twins, so having the cute Inia Sestina as a 3rd follow up would be good too! Alright, let’s not get too far…

Nendoroid Takamura Yui should arrive this coming May, and if you prefer larger releases, go take a peek at the Kotobukiya 1/7th scale prototypes of both Yui and Kryska that were shown at the previous Mega Hobby event. Even 1/7th scale Inia would be announced soon, and those prototypes look great!
